Our process, what we call Ocean Alchemy, is essentially chemistry-based metallurgy. The piece sits at the end of an electrical circuit, where the magic of conductivity draws ions of acid-dissolved metal to deposit onto the shell or crystal. Based on how we tune the settings we get different effects ranging from finely detailed to wildly textured.
